Subscribers to Cheryl Watson’s Tuning Letter will know that we normally create a DVD every year, containing the Tuning Letters and other Watson & Walker material since Cheryl’s first Tuning Letter was published in 1991. This year, to celebrate the universe-wide migration to ‘the cloud’, we are replacing the DVD with a new subscriber-only online repository of all our material. This new website, www.watsonwalkerpublications.com, contains the same treasure trove of documents that we had in the past, but it has a more powerful search engine, it will be updated every time we publish a new issue of the Tuning Letter (rather than just once a year), and it allows us to have hotlinks from future Tuning Letter articles directly to related articles in previous Tuning Letters. You can get more information about the new site, together with valuable tips on getting the best value from the search engine, here.
All current subscribers should have received an email this week, providing an installation-unique access code and instructions for registering an ID to access the site. If you are the Tuning Letter administrator for your site and you did not receive that email, please let us know. If you are not the administrator and you have not received the logon information yet, contact your site administrator for the details.
The initial feedback to the new site has been very positive. We hope that you will be equally enthusiastic about it, and find that it adds even more value to your Tuning Letter subscription. To encourage you to check out the new site, we timed its release with the latest issue of the Tuning Letter, 2017 No. 2, so please check out the new site and the new Tuning Letter and let us know what you think. We will follow up this post with one about that latest Tuning Letter – we hope that both the new issue and the new website will provide hours of entertainment and information to you and your colleagues. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
